Saturday Morning Arts

TYO performs for conductor Gustavo Dudamel in Mathey College

Our Saturday Morning Arts (SMArts) program was founded to establish a community where Trenton and Princeton students can gather regularly to create art together. Trenton students and Princeton student volunteers can participate in one of four SMArts groups: Trenton Youth Dancers, Orchestra, Singers, or Theater. Rehearsals take place every Saturday, from 10am to 1pm, in the Lewis Arts Complex. Members get to know each other as they enjoy free breakfast, lunch, and busing to/from rehearsal.

We open each rehearsal with a performance and Q&A featuring a Princeton student group. Past guest performers have included the Princeton Pianists Ensemble, Nassoons, Katzenjammers, Opus, Princeton Chamber Music Society, Decem, and the cast of A Little Night Music. If you are interested in performing for our SMArts community, please email TAP Program Associate Mariana Corichi Gomez at mcgomez@princeton.edu.
